The Yoga of Awareness gives you Leverage, the power to change, Legacy, integrity in its own structure, beyond any one person and Lineage, a traceable history through time.

Just as all rivers end up in the ocean, all yoga ends up raising the kundalini.Yogi Bhjan

Kundalini yoga is the fastest way to achieve a state of yoga and heightened awareness, a complete physical, mental and spiritual balance. These three important elements of practice are incorporated in every class.

Kundalini Yoga includes aspects of 6 other yogas, Jappa Yoga, Shakti Yoga, Laya Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Raja Yoga and Hatha Yoga; thus it is called “the mother of all yogas.”

Let us first define yoga by asking: “What is yoga, its purpose and benefits?”
Yoga is a relationship, it is the union of the individual’s consciousness with the infinite. Yoga helps one explore their dimension, depth, nature and potential as a human. It is an understanding of the self and that every human mind is both infinite and creative. It is a way to live that affects the body, mind and spirit in a positive and expansive manner. By practicing to achieve yoga one benefits by gaining an awakened awareness, this provides the ability to go beyond the perceived limited boundaries, which leads to more opportunities for expansion on all levels.

Now let us define the Yoga of Awareness, Kundalini Yoga by asking:
“What is Kundalini Yoga and the Kundalini Energy?”

It is a Raja Yoga, a royal yoga of the kings and brahmins, it was kept and taught in secret for the last three millennia, until 1969 when Yogi Bhajan was guided to come to the West and openly teach these sacred ancient techniques. The techniques can be traced back to at least 7000 B.C.E. when it was practiced by rishis around the Indus Valley. Kundalini Yoga comes from a legacy, and has been delivered to us by The Golden Chain, the ongoing lineage of teacher to student. Some of the important teachers in this chain are Guru Ram Dass and Yogi Bhajan.

Kundalini yoga is a science of angles and triangles, it is technology to awaken consciousness or increase awareness in a balanced and controlled manner. It provides one with the tools to be confident and trustful in this awakening and empowerment process.

A typical Yoga of Awareness class comprises of Meditation, Mantra, Kriyas and Pranayama that when practiced raises the kundalini energy within the individual. This raised energy is a divine union of the individual with the infinite universal consciousness, this results in recognizing, understanding and expanding one’s awareness. This means achieving and living in your full potential by having a clearer thought process, the ability to listen clearly, the inner strength and stillness to endure and overcome the challenges of life, a heightened intuitive sense and a deeper understanding through compassion.

There are numerous benefits and they occur in a unique way with each individual. To some the result is totally clear and sublime, for others the key to recognize is to be subtle, aware, remove the duality and preconception that maybe framing your thoughts and allow yourself to listen without bias, from a neutral state of mind, let the world unfold and know that every moment is unique and contains infinite possibility if you allow it.

The Yoga of Awareness or Kundalini Yoga is not a religious belief, however many religions over time have adopted aspects of yoga due to its great benefits. ANYONE can practice The Yoga of Awareness, it does not matter what your size, age, color, heritage or religion is. This yoga will empower you and expand your awareness and perhaps even lead you deeper into your religion, spiritual practice or self development.

The Kundalini Energy is the life-force of atoms, it is at the naval point and is created by the joining of prana and apana through the science of Kundalini yoga, once this occurs the energy moves down to the lower chakra Muldahara (1st chakra) and then up sequentially through others Svadisthana (2nd), Manipura (3rd), Anahata (4th), Vishuddha (5th), Ajna (6th) and Sahasrara (7th) chakras.
